Before many of you start feeling indignant and flooding me with examples of India’s beautiful sectors, let me just say — yes, I know it can be beautiful, and we’ll get there soon enough!! 😆

But the hard truth remains, unless you have a private jet, most people traveling to India (especially if the trip involves seeing the Taj Mahal) will unavoidably encounter the filthy side of India, as they fly into either New Delhi or Mumbai.

But let me just say this: the griminess and overpopulation of these big cities is so overwhelming and disturbingly magnificent, that IMO, the sight itself alone warrants a trip to India, and the experience ranks amongst the most rewarding of my life.

It’s one of the reasons to go to India, not a reason to avoid it.
