Ask yourself why you want to go to Antarctica in the first place, and it’s likely you’ll arrive at the same conclusion I did.

As you might have guessed, I was NOT on a fancy ship with tons of creature comforts and huge sprawling dinner buffets. I opted for the modest accommodations and limited amenities often found on smaller boats, so that I could experience true fortune — the luxury of being able to explore Antarctica on foot with a small group of people, multiple times a day and for over-long periods of time.

If I wanted a buffet, there are buffets here in Dallas. 😄

However, what I don’t think I’ll find ever again— not in my entire life— is MEATLOAF prepared the way you see it in my photo.

And to be honest, it wasn’t half bad, actually…

I just think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it wasn’t presented as “meatloaf,” and instead called something else, like, “meat encrusted hard-boiled egg with white gelatin sauce.” 😂
