I knew from the outset that I was going to rely heavily on WORLDLY POTTERY to help establish an exotic, mystical tone both inside and outside the home. From classical and antique, to bold and unique, the pottery selections of New Moroxico range in size from small and delicate accent pieces to large, ponderous, impossible-to-move vessels.

Sourcing the perfect specimens involved a considerable amount of research and planning, as well as a lot of trial and error (and an embarrassing number of misfires, I reluctantly confess! 😝), but I am now in a position to share with you a few of the things I learned along the way:

1. Ordering online is a gamble, as even pottery from the most reputable sources can often show up damaged or broken.

2. Shipping large, heavy, items in singular quantities (or even small batches) makes no economic sense. The shipping cost for large, heavy pottery is bonkers.

3. It is best to source these items locally, from a trusted retail establishment, where freight costs are kept low thanks to importing in bulk, and where you can inspect the merchandise yourself, in person, before purchasing.

I love the look of their rustic, Mexican clay pottery, but I use it mostly INDOORS, where it is protected from the elements and less likely to crumble or rot. @amigospottery
