I go to great lengths to make the few fake plants I do use look as real as possible, and I only employee these techniques in very rare, desperate, and necessary circumstances LOL 😂…

Next: Although I single out Pottery Barn as having the most unconvincing fake plants, many of the other places on my list didn’t fare much better.

Even places that I normally trust in their curation of quality furniture and home decor (like Pottery Barn) failed to impress me with their selection of artificial foliage. 🫠

However, the real problem I had with almost all these nice places was that — regardless of if their fake plants looked good or bad — they were all priced at a premium, on par with their other decor offerings but not on par with the going rate for comparable fake plants.

My main takeaway was that if you think because it comes from a name brand store you are getting a better or more convincing fake plant, think again.

The higher price (or store brand name) is absolutely no guarantee that the plants they offer are visually convincing.
