New Moroxico 012: Doors, Part Two
Published December 17, 2025

For those of you just joining us, New Moroxico is a concept house I designed with the preliminary premise of combining all my favorite aspects of Morocco and Mexico in one aesthetically beautiful and cohesive design. However, as the project progressed, it eventually just became an amalgamation of all my favorite things from places and cultures around the world (an improvement on my original concept, if I’m being totally honest! 😆)
If all the amazing doors of New Moroxico came from just one singular place or just one artisan, this would be a lot easier, but alas… they did not.
So I am going to showcase the doors and windows in several different parts; and just know that if the doors I’m presently focusing on are not the ones you are especially interested in— just wait! I’ll get to them ALL eventually!! 😜
But for today, I mostly talk about the doors and windows that were crafted for me by the very talented artisans at:
SalimaShop on Etsy
(Or themoroccanfurniture.com)
Gorgeous Moorish, Berber, Toureg, and Moroccan doors and furnishings
MadeInMadera.com @madeinmaderallc
Beautiful and uniquely distressed exterior doors made of wood (and sometimes iron)
WoodCraftedByAnton on Etsy
@WoodCraftedByAnton
Intricately carved doors, tables, and headboards with exquisitely painted finishes
TaosDoor.com @Taosdoorandhardware

⭐️ Sourcing this stuff can often be difficult and all-consuming, so as always, I will gladly answer any questions you might have!! 😍😍
